The Basra Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) conducted the grand opening for a potable water distribution point at Camp Bucca, Iraq, (9 October 2009). The Water Distribution Point is available for authorized tanker to fill-up, transport and deliver drinking water throughout Basra Province. The PRT is reviewing options to extend the distribution of water to the port of Umm Qasr over the next year. Potable water output from Camp Bucca to the distribution point is nearly 10 million liters per day.
